Client Reviews
"It was awesome to work with Louise and I so look forward to my clients conducting future business with Louise and her company!
My clients were very happy with the wonderful landscape work done for them. Louise transformed a completely overgrown garden into relaxing setting surrounding the entire rear deck in a day. It is now a perfect place to relax after a long day!
I also found Louise to be very professional in her dealings with myself and my clients and ready with input to help move us forward.
As a REALTOR® in a very time sensitive business I work on a tight schedule so it was especially great that Louise was very fast to respond when I gave her very little advance notice. I needed her expertise and she was on the job within days!
Thank you Louise! Keep up your great customer service, it is appreciated!!"

"Changing my career meant relocation several times in the past 10 years. Louise has tirelessly consulted with me in all 4 homes. I have had personal growth and change and Louise recognizes this and has assisted me to create beautiful surroundings that I love to come home to! I could not have created my beautiful home without her expertise. Kudos!"

"Louise has been an important part of my "home" for many years. She has done everything from garden consulting, beautiful seasonal planters, paint choices, to small renovations and decorating. Recently we have been working on my master bedroom. Louise took it from shabby... ( 25 years ago with babies) to elegance and sparkle.
She has what I refer to as Kodak colour vision. When you discuss with her your needs, she brings it to life. She listens carefully to your desires and respects all aspects, whether it be style, timeline or budget. Your home is an investment, and decorating mistakes can be costly, and she has always guided me to where best spend the money.
I highly encourage anyone starting out (would make a great wedding gift), to downsizing and everything in between to hire a professional. You won't regret it. I have Louise on speed dial!"

"Louise was wonderful to work with from the time we began to think about updating the look of our living/dining room until the project was completed. We had some vague ideas about the look we were going for, but through her numerous suggestions and sound advice she really helped us pull it all together. We could never have achieved the coordinated, cohesive look that we have if it were not for Louise's many suggestions about furniture design and placement, and her strong sense of color.
Louise is a very upbeat person with lots of great ideas. We are extremely pleased with the look that she helped us achieve--and all of our visitors who see the new look for the first time are quite impressed!"

"When I asked Louise to help me update a century home, I didn't expect it to be so painless. Louise knew exactly what was needed and understood what I wanted.
Over the course of three years, the kitchen and bathroom were totally transformed and updated with life's little luxuries, while still being mindful of my budget and need for practicality and at the same time, the transformations had a look of charm and elegance.
The rest of the rooms were updated and tweaked to compliment the new renovations, resulting in a flow and feel that made me so happy to come home to, after a grueling day at work.
In addition to the interior, Louise also consulted, designed and constructed the landscaping to be contemporary and low maintenance, which suited my busy schedule and holiday summers perfectly.
I always look forward to her special seasonal touches for my front planters and door throughout the year."

"Louise Bexton's design and decorating expertise have been invaluable to my husband and me over the past several years. Over twenty years ago Louise created the landscape designs for both the front and back yards of our home. Over the ensuing years Louise has helped us add and subtract from our gardens, often saving us from wasting money on plant materials that would not have survived in our location and steered us towards things that have flourished.
When my husband and I grew tired of the deep red walls that encompassed most of our main floor we consulted with Louise before choosing our new colours. We now have a family of neutral colours with the exception of our front entrance hall where Louise encouraged me to have some fun and use one of my favourite colours. From her massive paint deck selections we were able to find the perfect shade of green and I still love it! People coming into our home now often comment on how calming and serene it feels.
Always on the lookout for furniture pieces, area rugs and accessories that helped complete the new look, it was exciting to receive emailed photos from Louise while she was out shopping. We would dash off to make the purchase as soon as my husband got home from work, or I would email Louise back and give her the go ahead to buy it. A luxurious round, wool carpet for our living room, six dining room chairs, a funky carpet for under the dining table and numerous quirky accent pieces that reflected our tastes perfectly, were among some of the finds she has helped us with.
Actually going out shopping with Louise for sought after items can be a fun experience as well. I do not enjoy shopping as I find it extremely overwhelming and often come home empty-handed and frustrated. Having Louise right there with me is awesome! She knows my tastes, can keep me focused and helps me narrow down the plethora of choices and make a wise decision - more often than not, saving me money.
It has been rewarding working with Louise during the upgrading of our home and with her savvy and sensible help in the upcoming year, we are looking forward to tackling our kitchen, which will be our biggest project to date. We are at the point where we trust Louise implicitly, knowing we can give her an idea and she will run with it and end up exceeding all our expectations."

This past summer we were in the process of getting quotes on having a kitchen renovation, when a friend suggested we contact Dave and Louise Bexton at Pygmalion House Design. Word of mouth is still the best way of advertising and proof is in the pudding.
The kitchen was last updated in the late 1960’s. After a couple of consultations with them we knew we were on the right track. They were able to compliment the age of the house (1872) while giving the kitchen a major facelift.
Louise guided us in choosing the right flooring, paint, trim, lighting, sink, faucets and more. She was in constant communication on any questions through the entire project.
Dave is an extremely competent craftsman with the ability to problem solve while on the job during renovations.
The end result is we now have a kitchen that is a pleasure to prepare meals and entertain family and friends.
